SoulCore

SOULCORE is a prayer experience that pairs the prayers of the Rosary in a contemplative class setting with core strengthening, stretching and functional movement.

SoulCore is consecrated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

PATRON SAINTS:
St. Joseph
St. Louis De Montfort
St. John Paul II
St. Therese of Lisieux
St. Raphael the Archangel
St. Irenaeus

This is a sensory experience that combines candlelight, music, scripture, reflections and movement to nourish body, mind & soul and encourage deeper reflection on the mysteries and virtues of the Rosary.

Lori Crock is a SoulCore Leader in Columbus, Ohio at parishes and at special events around the diocese by invitation.

Before beginning any exercise program, or changing your routine, please consult your doctor. Anyone doing SoulCore exercises, does so at their own risk. Thank you.

Lori will lead the Rosary, so you do not need to know the Rosary prayers or bring a Rosary with you. She will also teach and cue you on the movements.

Her background is in strength and functional movement with certifications in Functional Movement Systems, Primal Movement, Hardstyle Kettlebells, Calisthenics, TRX and the Olympic Lifts.

The SoulCore logo, an intertwined A&M, signifies “Auspice Maria” Latin for “under the protection of Mary.” May you always be under her protection!

More About SoulCore

SoulCore is a movement all its own, engaging body and soul in prayer while fully engaging the heart and mind toward Christ.

SoulCore is not affiliated with any other exercise disciplines. It is not yoga, nor are yoga poses or Sanskrit referenced at any time. Light, soft weighted balls may be used with some of the movements.

SoulCore truly is an invitation to the world, to integrate body & soul in prayer while discovering the beauty of the Rosary; a gentle path to grow in virtue and interior peace.

Parish Reference

We have loved having Lori Crock come to prayer with us through SoulCore! She has such great knowledge and formation in Catholic teaching and prayer and extensive experience as a strength training coach and physical fitness instructor.

She always emphasizes to us that SoulCore is about prayer first and then adding in the strength and stretching movement as one feels comfortable with it. She provides meditations based on the scriptures and lives of the saints at the beginning of each rosary mystery and these help to pull us deeper into each mystery and the ask for the virtues that correspond to each mystery. It is a very prayerful and peaceful time.

SoulCore as a company is extremely cautious about who they let instruct their classes and Lori has met all of their requirements. SoulCore.com provides a lot of great information as well.

She also leads us in the movement with thorough explanation and modeling. All of the moves build upon each other well and are moves that one would do in typical strength training classes (squats, lunges, planks, pushups, shoulder, arm and neck stretches). I have found nothing “new age” or “yoga like” in the movements and have really enjoyed being able to unite body and spirit in prayer. The other women that attend our class have had a similar experience.
